Introducing Marketing Matters Mondays!

In a world so connected, sometimes it may feel like we run into information overloads, where we want to absorb as much information possible in the least amount of time. Whether it be time constraints or a short attention span, we here at Linking Events are learning and adapting to try to capture attention in the digital age. We understand that in today’s hustle and bustle we might not always have the time to sit down to try learn new ways to reach our consumers. It was that kind of challenge that made us brainstorm new ways to get that crucial information to our audience. With that, we are proud to have recently launched a new weekly series on our Instagram called Marketing Matters Mondays!
We decided we wanted to use our years of experience in the industry to impart useful marketing information quickly at your fingertips. Instagram is a great platform as it doesn’t require any additional work other than just scrolling down your feed. Grand Opening of Ed Voyles KIA of Chamblee

June 23, 2015 the Linking team led a Grand Opening celebration on behalf of the ED Voyles Automotive Group in Chamblee, GA. Efforts for this event were multiplied tenfold in order to cater to the VIP crowd at attendance. In celebration for the Grand Opening Linking created a memorable experience to honor the achievements of the Ed Voyles Automotive Group on opening their second and most fabulous state-of-the-art KIA dealership. The team created an experience for VIP guests that included a handpicked entertainer and catering to execute a delicious menu. As a full service marketing agency, Linking Events is honored to have seen this event through from start to finish.

Ft. Lauderdale Race
Miami Race
Linking Events took on one of the biggest, most exciting tasks of the year. For those of you who followed the journey on Instagram, thank you. For those of you waiting for an update, here is a brief.

Load Out- West Palm Beach
 
The Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run has three installments, the Ft. Lauderdale Race, West Palm Beach Race and the Miami Race; each with a different personality. The Miami Race being the last and largest race hosting about 27, 000 participants plus active guests that did not register to attend but were there to cheer on their teams! Linking Events worked to represent the client on all three races coordinating everything from food, dĂ©cor, lighting, staff, drinks and many more behind the scenes logistical aspects.  The Linking field team was onsite for all three races to keep all the gears turning smoothly. 


Miami Race
Last Thursday, April 23 was the last race of the three in Downtown Miami.  Let’s paint the scene, the sky was grey and rain fell throughout the day flooding parts of the streets and tent area. This however, did not stop Miami from making it one of the most exciting runs yet! The participants did the pre-run warm up in the rain and lined up at the start line without a second thought. Linking took this opportunity to dance in the rain, like a few of our other events, the rain only added to the motivation to make this a most successful event.

Excited doesn't even cover it!

As a small business, we value every single one of our clients! This year we have earned the honor to participate in representing one of our clients in the infamous Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run
of West Palm beach, of                Ft. Lauderdale and of Miami. This will be no easy feat and by no means do we take the responsibility lightly. With a well deserved pat on the back, our team has already started with             pre-planning stages and will be increasing our warehouse inventory specifically for this event!

As a brief prequel to the event, we will update you on our progress via instagram (@linkingevents). We look forward to sharing the many pictures and moments that will come from our hard work.

KIA University Grads!

   A select few members of our Linking team are now KIA Premium Certified Specialists for the new KIA K900! The Linking team was invited to attend an all exclusive training of the K900, held at the KIA headquarters in Atlanta Georgia. The team attended a two day course; the course consisted of exclusive knowledge of the car through lectures, and interactive activities. On day two we had a private tour of the vehicle which gave our team full accesses to experience the luxury and have hands on with all the features. As graduates of the KIA university we are now equipped with more knowledge, and are excited for our upcoming activations in the future. We hope to hear from you soon, thank you KIA!

Pridelines Masquerade Gala

Pridelines Masquerade Gala


Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables sponsored the Pridelines Masquerade Ball this past Saturday at Coral Gables’ iconic Biltmore Hotel. A donation of $150 per guest was required. The proceeds from the annually held gala benefit Pridelines Youth Services which is South Florida’s oldest service agency dedicated to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBT) community. This year’s Masquerade Themed Gala welcomed hundreds of elegantly masked invitees dressed to the tee. It featured an hour long cocktail reception and silent auction, followed by a formal dinner, entertainment and dancing. The Biltmore Hotel was the perfect setting for an evening of elegance and romance. This historic building was constructed in 1926 and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1996. When completed, the Biltmore was the tallest building in Florida and had the largest swimming pool in the world! It has played host to both Europe and Hollywood royalty and even served as a hospital during World War II. It has also been featured in many movies and television programs throughout the years. It is clear to see why the Biltmore was chosen to house this very memorable evening!

Modern Luxury Houston: Fresh Faces of Fashion

     There are plenty of reasons why Modern Luxury’s Fresh Faces of Fashion is one of our most anticipated events of the year. Being a part of this fashionable and historical night for the past several years has been nothing short of fabulous.  The Ninth Annual Fresh Faces of Fashion was held in the evening of June 4th at The Menil Collection. John and Dominique de Menil were a couple with a strong belief in the spiritual powers of art. The construction of the Menil Collection was a plan by the pair shortly before John’s death, to house their art collection in a place that was welcome to everybody. A decade into her widowhood, Dominique de Menil hired an architect to design the space that John and her envisioned; as a thank you to him for opening her eyes and heart to art. The ceremonial ribbon was cut on June 4, 1987, making Fresh Faces of Fashion, truly an honorable night; celebrating not only art in all forms, but The Menil Collection’s 27th anniversary.   
 
     Sponsors included Mercedes-Benz Dealers of Greater Houston, Modern Luxury Houston, The Menil Collection, Swift + Company, LG, Tootsies, Estilo Salon and Spa, Deep Eddy Vodka and Page Parkes. This edition allowed guests to preview the exhibition: A Thin Wall of Air: Charles James. Charles James is considered by many to be America’s first couturier. He established himself as a premier fashion designer for an elite group of clients including John and Dominique de Menil. James even went on to dress the interior of the Menil home- his only residential commission. He believed that the true possibilities of design didn’t lie in the human form or in the material, but in the space between body and fabric, described as “A Thin Wall of Air”. The exhibition presented a variety of James’ personal collection, along with furniture that was designed for the Menil home.

 
   Guests in attendance received the treat of a fashion presentation by Tootsies- one of the event sponsors. Besides charmingly welcoming attendants to a night of fashion, Linking Specialists proudly represented Mercedes-Benz- another one of the event sponsors, and signed guests up to win an exclusive prize package!  Our Linking Specialists always dress to impress at this fun, fashionable evening.
